Craig Rullman is an award-winning journalist, photographer, and filmmaker, whose work is focused on documenting the lives of people working to preserve the heritage and legacies of the rural North American West. His first book, "The Bunkhouse Chronicles", a book of essays, has been praised as "A voice as dry as sand and pungent as sage in full bloom. Rullman casts his anchor in the deserts of the Western Outback and travels easily between the barrooms of Nevada and the boardrooms of high rollers and New Age entrepeneurs. You sure as hell won't be disappointed."
His documentary film "The Outside Circle: A Movie of the Modern West" has been honored at numerous film festivals across the country and has been featured at the Autry Museum of the American West's series: "What is a Western?" It is available on Amazon Prime, Horse.TV, and at TOCMovie.com.
He is currently at work on a book of original photographs entitled: "Portraits of the Modern West", and a documentary film about vanishing small-town newspapers called "The Nugget".
He lives in Sisters, Oregon.
